Joachim Schroeder (producer/director)
Joachim Schroeder, who grew up in England, is the founder and guiding force behind Preview. After receiving a scholarship in production to UCLA’s School of Motion Pictures and Television in Los Angeles and after freelance work for several German television stations, Joachim founded Preview Production in 1993 and since then has produced several hundred feature film and television documentaries.

Tobias Streck (producer/director)
After graduating from high school Tobias wasted no time before entering the film business. In his 10+ years of working in this field the multitalented filmmaker has directed numerous documentaries and corporate films, executive-produced television series and edited several award winning television documentaries. Tobias is heavily involved in Preview’s new format development team.

Henriette Schroeder (journalist/director)
After working as a freelance print journalist, mainly in Southeastern Europe, Henriette went on to direct films on topics such as the history and culture of the Yiddish language and Thomas Mann in Munich. One of her last documentaries was about the Russian Jewish Community in Little Odessa, Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Henriette has an MA in American Studies from the University of Munich and has done graduate work in Jewish Studies at American University, Washington, D.C.

Claudio Schmid (producer/director)
Next to directing and producing documentaries, Claudio acts as Preview’s tech wizard and postproduction co-ordinator. He has a Bachelor in Multimedia Arts from the School of Audio Engineering in Munich.

Stefan Vaupel (producer/director)
From working as a freelance producer-director for a variety of television networks, Stefan moved on to become the executive chief editor at the German national broadcaster ProSieben, where he was responsible for documentary production and entertainment formats. Stefan heads Preview Production’s new format development division. Stefan received a degree in political science from the University of Berlin.

Julia Bauer (producer/director)
Julia started working as a free lance television journalist for Preview Production in 1999. From 2001 until 2006 she studied Journalism at the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. After receiving her graduate degree she returned to Munich and re-joined Preview Production.

Dieter Schroeder (journalist/director)
A highly experienced and accomplished journalist, Dieter Schroeder has been a reporter for Der Spiegel, London correspondent for the Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ), and editor-in-chief of the SZ from 1985 to 1996. Between 1996 and 2000 he was the publisher of the Berlin daily newspaper the Berliner Zeitung. Dieter Schroeder is also the author of many books and the director of numerous contemporary history documentaries.

Til Schoenecker (producer/director)
Til grew up in Bavaria and in Egypt. After graduating from Regensburg University with a degree in Literature, Geography and Media Studies, he moved to Munich to work as a producer/director in the documentary field. Til is a curator at the International Documentary Film Festival, Munich.

Stefan Tschoner (line producer)
Before joining Preview Production as a production manager, Stefan Tschoner headed the international sales department of a German mobile phone company. Stefan has a BA in Marketing and Communication.

Axel Ebermann (producer/director)
Filmmaker Axel Ebermann has also directed numerous documentaries, filming along the way in places as diverse as the monsoon heat of Shanghai and the eternal winter darkness of the Arctic Circle in Norway. Axel holds a BA in Fiction Film from the City University of New York.

Daniel Frei (producer/director)
After working in the art department at Christie’s auction house, Daniel crossed over into the entertainment business. He has produced and directed a number of feature-length documentaries. In his feature film projects, he has collaborated with Adrian Grenier (HBO “Entourage”) and worked for producers such as Kit Golden (“Chocolat”) and David Brown (“Jaws”). He has a BA in Film and Music from the City University of New York.
